Mountain biking has really taken off in the resort of Orcieres 1850 thanks to inspiration from a surge in dynamic mountain bike events and competitions like the 'OffRoad Champsaur VTT' and the 'Prapic Classic'. Over the last few years a fantastic new bike park has been developed in partnership with the Santa Cruz MIA Team.

Top level single track routes accessible by ski lift, family trails and a bike wash point in the centre of resort! 

The new bike park is situated at the bottom of the pistes for easy and safe access, which also makes it possible for young mountain bikers and parents without specific experience or top of the range equipment to have some fun!

The park includes, amongst other things; a slalom trail, a beginners circuit and a timed 'rocket' route so you can compare your speeds against world class riders. And to top it all off, a conveyor belt gives easy, effortless access to all the different sections.

Experienced mountain bikers haven't been forgotten either... there's a 'Big Air Bag' giant inflatable mattress in the park. It is the only one in the Southern Alps... so come and practice your jumps and aerial tricks with the comfortable knowledge of a soft landing!
