In the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, Orcières is a leisure resort par excellence. It’s also a mountain biker’s paradise!
With trails for all levels, from technical areas to jumps and fun modules, the Orcières Bike Park offers thrills and spills in complete safety. Accessible via the ski lifts (3 Télémix), the area offers a complete experience with its 11 downhill runs in the heart of the Alpine landscape, where every descent is combined with pleasure, adrenalin and exceptional panoramic views.
The Espace VTT d’Orcières is also a fabulous playground for enduro mountain bikers: 5 enduro itineraries, technical routes with a downhill profile, promise great rides in total freedom from the summit of the Drouvet (2650 m) to the Base de loisirs d’Orcières (1350 m) where a free shuttle service will take you effortlessly back up to the resort.
For cross-country and mountain bike enthusiasts, the Orcières mountain bike area is one of the gateways to the Champsaur and Valgaudemar mountain bike area, with its 500 kilometres of signposted trails (see bottom of page). You can also try out the VTTAE (electrically assisted mountain bike) on the specially signposted trails. Orcières has all the facilities you need for mountain biking: mountain bike hire and shops, mountain bike schools, a bike wash, etc.
There’s also a fun area on the Les Drapeaux snow front where you can learn or improve your riding skills. There’s also a brand new pumptrack course at the foot of the pistes.
Since 2022, Orcières resort has been a proud partner of the GIANT France MTB Pro Team and the base camp for the team’s preparation courses!
