The “Tour des Lacs” trail is rated black for difficulty and starts in Prapic.
This loop will take experienced hikers to Lac des Pisses, then Lacs Jumeaux, Profonds, and Longs before reaching the Jujal plateau with its lake and descending via the Balet trail to Prapic. Some sections are in the heart of the Ecrins National Park, so please respect the regulations in force.
You will also cross mountain pastures, which are places where shepherds live and work. Respect their privacy by staying away from the huts and preserving the mountain environment.
Due to predation, herds may be guarded by one or more protection dogs. Be sure to go around them and keep your distance.
