THE perfect summer day with your family in Orcières

After a hearty breakfast, take the Télémix lifts (Drouvet 1 then Drouvet 2) to reach the top of the resort. From there, you’ll enter the Monde des 6 Lacs, where you’ll step into the waking dream of a shepherd dozing in the shade of a rock. Eighteen stages, each corresponding to a moment in his dream, punctuate this 10-kilometre themed walk, which winds its way between our six high-altitude lakes.

Each stage has its own story: a moment of poetry, a musical interlude, petrified sheep, a dragon fountain… these artistic installations scattered along the route will make you forget you’re even walking. The downhill route stretches from the summit of the resort down to the resort itself; it’s suitable for families provided you have good walking shoes, a hat and sun protection.

You can take your time and have a picnic on the Rocherousse plateau, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of our mountains.

At an altitude of 2,300 metres, the Rocherousse plateau is a place where families can enjoy the great outdoors and a sense of freedom.

A magic box full of free games awaits you at the foot of the Rocherousse restaurant: badminton, molky, frisbee, Breton shuffleboard… There’s even a slackline for the more daring! Of course, we’re counting on you to put everything back where it belongs 😉
You can also try out a short ‘Roule Ma Boule’ course for the little ones. This 15-metre circuit lets children test their agility and get a taste of the game before moving on to the main course…

This will be your first taste of the site, because you’ll want to come back the next day! You can then enjoy lunch on the restaurant terrace, treating yourselves to a delicious, sun-drenched break whilst listening to the crackling of the fire pits. For dessert, the children leave the table and head off to enjoy the giant ‘Roule Ma Boule’ course, stage 13 – ‘the egg medley’ – of the ‘ Monde des 6 Lacs ’: 200 metres of chutes, tunnels, skill games and balance beams as they follow a little wooden ball. You’ll see: you’ll want to have a go too!

After the peaceful atmosphere of the ‘ Monde des 6 Lacs ’, head to the Orcières water park. An outdoor leisure area covering 2 hectares, just a 500-metre walk from the resort. There, you can relax completely in the outdoor pool, which is heated for your comfort. Dry off and enjoy a well-deserved nap on a sun lounger with a view of our mountain peaks – after all, you’ve walked 10 km this morning. Then challenge your family, friends or fellow holidaymakers to a game of beach volleyball – may the best team win! The little ones can have a go on the inflatable play structures.

We could go on and on suggesting more activities for the end of the day, but we’re sure that after a day like this, all you’ll want is a good night’s sleep – and you’ll need to save some energy for tomorrow!
